Single-crystal X-ray analysis revealed that isomorphous metal formates [M-6(HCOO)(12)]center dot DEF (M = Mg2+, Fe2+, Co2+, Zn2+) have a framework with the lonsdaleite net, which is one of the rare topologies in metal-organic frameworks; iron and cobalt formates with metal sites bridged by single atoms showed dominant ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions, respectively.-
