- Abstract
- As the industry develops, many technologies are widely used for wastewater purification. Among them, membrane filter technology is attracting more attention than other processes due to simple procedure and high efficiency. In this paper, we fabricated anodized aluminum oxide (AAO) nanofilters with excellent performance in a simple method, with a pore size of about 500 nm and a filter thickness of about 30 lm. In addition, we tested the membrane permeability through the diffusion experiments of AAO nanofilters. No other micro-sized particulate other than ion crystals were found in the diffused distilled water. We concluded that the use of AAO nanofilters successfully excluded micro particles. For this reasons, the produced AAO nanofilters can be used in water purification systems to remove micro-sized contaminants. Furthermore, it is likely to grow as a biofilter that blocks the extracellular endoplasmic reticu-lum, which has recently been identified as the cause of many infectious diseases. © Science Press 2020.
