- Abstract
- Mobile hydraulic power unit (mHPU) is used to provide the power to mobile hydraulic robots. The pump is usually design for maximum power requirement, but in its operation, the required power is less than supplied. Since energy is limited, it is important to pay attention to the efficiency of the mHPU to reduce the overall power consumption. In this paper, two approaches were used to solve this problem. Firstly, a switching flow control for high efficiency was derived for two pumps connected in parallel. Finally, to reduce the overflowing loss, an energy regenerative circuit was designed.
