dc.description.abstract© 2022 IEEE.This paper proposes a new class of aperture-shared, phased array antenna-in-package (AiP) which exhibits endfire and broadside radiation while featuring compact profile. The shared aperture cavity slot antenna (SACSA) is proposed and demonstrated as single and 1×4 phased array architecture at mmWave spectrum and is exemplified for mmWave mobile devices. Experimental studies verify the SACSA can steer up to ± 45° beam scanning angle in both endfire and broadside modes while maintaining under-15 dB of cross-polarization and reflection coefficients less than-10 dB at 28 GHz band.-
