Abstract
In this paper, a single side patterned miniaturized bandpass filter (0.02λ0x0.23λ0) is applied with 1 x4 reconfigurable phased array antenna systems using liquid crystal (LC). The simulations show that the bandwidth meets 11.30 GHz under S11<-10dB, beam steering angle achieved 36°, and realized gain of main lobe >3.20dBi. Also, the transmission loss from biasing port to RF port satisfied <-70dB from 1 kHz to 10 kHz, therefore, it operates bias blocking well.
