Non-slice 3-stranded pretzel knots

Abstract

그린(Greene)과 자부카(Jabuka)와 레쿠오나(Lecuona)에 의해 슬라이스-리본 추측이 3개의 가닥을 가지며 P(a,-a-2,-(a+1)^{2}/2) (a>1인홀수) 의 형태가 아닌 프레츨 매듭들에 대해 성립함이 증명되었다. 레쿠오나(Lecuona)와 밀러(Miller)는 위의 형태들에 대해서 a≡1,11,37,47,59(mod60)인 경우에 슬라이스 매듭이 아님을 증명하였다. 본 논문에서는 남은 매듭 중 a≡1, 97(mod120)를 제외한 매듭이 슬라이스 매듭이아님을 보였다.

Greene-Jabuka and Lecuona confirmed the slice-ribbon conjecture for 3-stranded pretzel knots except for an infinite family P(a,−a−2,−(a+1)^2/2), where a is an odd integer greater than 1. Lecuona and Miller showed that P(a,−a−2,−(a+1)^2/2) are not slice unless a≡1,11,37,47,59(mod60). In this note, we show that four-fifths of the remaining knots in the family are not slice.
