유럽과의 연구협력 강화를 위한 전략적 네트워크 구축에 관한 연구

Abstract

This study analyzes the Korean research institutes’ roles to build up a strategic network with European Union (EU) for research cooperation in renewable energy.For this, Korea’s energy related law has been examined to choose the target institutes. In this study, KEEI (Korea Energy Economics Institute), KIER (Korea Institute of Energy Research), KETEP (Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning), and KEMCO (Korea Energy Management Corporation) are selected. EU’s energy related organizations and EC (European Commission) are also investigated.The analysis suggested the three basic frameworks as follows, 1. Build the cooperation base: a dedicated professional team for cooperation, office or research center in Europe, 2. Participate in the international joint research program: European Framework program, matching-fund, and 3. Develop training and exchange program: dispatch researchers, degree courses. Further research topics may include quantitative analysis and thus the empirical influence of the proposed strategies.
