dc.description.abstract | Influence of the environmental condition on the dynamic response of the jacket substructure for the offshore wind turbine is analyzed using the aero-servo-hydro-elastic simulation. The model known as ′NREL(National Renewable Energy Laboratory) offshore 5MW baseline wind turbine′ is used for rotor and nacelle assembly and tower. As the substructure ′UpWind reference jacket′ is used. And the structure is analyzed for a site of water depth 50m at K13 deep site in the Dutch North Sea. Ranging from -50% to 100% of environmental condition with the recurrence period of 50 year is applied to the structure. To assess the impact that changes in a certain parameter will have on the response, the one-way sensitivity analysis method is implemented. And the typical environmental parameters - wind speed, wave height, wave period, wind and wave direction, hydrodynamic coefficient and current speed are considered as independent variable of sensitivity analysis. Results are presented in terms of the base shear force, mud line overturning moment and stress utilization ratio which are chosen to represent the response of structure. It is shown that the structural response is more sensitive to the hydrodynamic load than the aerodynamic load. Among all other environmental parameters, the wave height is the most influential parameter on the dynamic response. This work can give a guidance in the conceptual design of the offshore wind turbine with the jacket substructure and help designer to determine which environmental parameters are the key drivers of the model design. | en_US |
