dc.description.abstractAlthough a web browser is getting demanded to provide high performance as more services are provided through the web, many browsers still do not fully utilize multi-core processor architecture because they are originally designed to run in single thread. In this paper, I analyze the process of loading a web page in WebKit and invest possibilities of applying parallel computation techiques to implement a parallel web browser. Based on the observationthat many tasks can be executed in parallel, I propose a new computationalmodel to design a parallel web browser.en_US
