dc.description.abstractA phase-splitting fractionally spaced equaliser (PS-FSE) with a Hilbert filter is proposed, and the convergence and steady-state behaviours are analysed. The proposed PS-FSE employs one real-valued adaptive filter, which utilises both in-phase and quadrature error signals for weight update. The initial convergence speed of the proposed PS-FSE is approximately twice faster than the conventional PS-FSE.-
