New 3-designs from Goethals codes over Z(4)

Abstract

We consider t-designs constructed from codewords in the Goethals code G(m) over Z(4). Some new designs are constructed from the support (size 7) of minimum Lee weight codewords for m = 5 and m = 7. The parameters of the designs are 3-(2(5), 7, 105), 3-(2(5),7, 7) and 3-(2(7), 7, 560). (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
