- Abstract
- This study is related to the selective catalytic oxidation of H2S in the presence of excess water and ammonia using V2O5/SiO2 catalyst. Hydrogen sulfide was successfully converted to the mixture of elemental sulfur and ammonium thiosulfate without considerable sulfur dioxide emission. Plausible reaction steps are proposed to describe the kinetic experimental results.
