- Abstract
- The single particle self,-energy and the renormalization coefficient for the one dimensional (1D) Hubbard model are investigated within the 2nd order perturbational treatment in U, the on-site Coulomb repulsion. Assuming a linear dispersion for the bare electronic spectra, we have obtained analytically the imaginary part of the self-energy, Im SIGMA, near the Fermi energy (epsilon(F)) and the renormalization coefficient at epsilon(F), Z(F). We have found that Im SIGMA(omega)alpha\omega - sigma(F)\ near omega = epsilon(F) and Z(F) = 0, which implies that the 1D Hubbard model system exhibits a non-Fermi liquid behavior within the 2nd order perturbational treatment.
