- Abstract
- A new conductance probe, referred to as a flush-wire probe, is proposed to enhance the spatial resolution for the continuous measurement of liquid film thicknesses. Its spatial resolution is compared with that of typical conductance probes numerically and experimentally. A new calibration technique using the probability of the the liquid's existence at several liquid film heights is also proposed, and shown to be more accurate and stable than previous methods.
