- Abstract
- The aim of this study is to fabricate scaffolds from two types of biodegradable materials using a precision deposition system that we developed. The precision deposition system, which is one of rapid prototyping(RP) methods, uses technology that enables the manufacture of three-dimensional microstructures. Fabrication of 3D tissue engineering scaffolds using the precision deposition system required the combination of several technologies, including motion control, thermal control. pneumatic control, computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing(CAD/CAM) software. Through the fabrication and human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(hBMSCs) proliferation experiments of two kinds Of scaffolds using poly(epsilon-caprolactone)(PCL) and poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)(PLGA), feasibility of application to the tissue engineering of precision deposition system is demonstrated.
