- Abstract
- The Dillamore orientation, {4 4 11} < 11 11 8 >, which is calculated by the full constraints Taylor model (d epsilon(11) = d epsilon(33), d epsilon(22) = 0, d epsilon(ij) = 0 for i not equal j, with the subscripts 1, 2, and 3 indicating the rolling, transverse, and normal directions, respectively) is stable under plane-strain compression of face-centered cubic (fcc) metals. However, the Dillamore component has been little reported in rolling textures of fcc metals. The component has been observed along with the generally observed Goss {1 1 0} < 0 0 1 >, brass {1 1 0} < 1 1 2 >, copper {1 1 2} < 1 1 1 >, and S {1 2 3} < 6 3 4 > components in the texture of 80% rolled copper sheet. The texture was measured by electron backscatter diffraction. (C) 2010 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
