Abstract
A fluorescent probe selectively senses inorganic mercury in the turn-on mode through a mercury ion-promoted hydrolysis reaction that leads to a coumarin, among various other metal species except Au(III). (C) 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
