- Abstract
- In the present study microstructures of the Cu60Zr30Ti10 alloy prepared by two different methods, melt spinning and injection casting has been studied by XRD, HRND, SANS, HRTEM and DSC techniques. The results show that the as-melt-spun Cu60Zr30Ti10 alloy consists of a fully amorphous structure, and slower cooling rate results in the formation of nanocrystals in the amorphous matrix. The maximum diameter of the rod with a glassy structure is 2 mm. The injection-cast 3 mm diameter rod consists of 10-15 nm size crystals embedded in the amorphous matrix.
