- Abstract
- The anomalous, ordinary, and planar Nernst effects of the ferromagnetic bulk metallic glass Co85Si5 Fe3B3Mo2Ni2 are reported. The contribution of the anomalous Nernst signal when the magnetic held is oriented in the plane of the specimen is shown to be zero; yet there is an odd component to the measured signal that varies along the sample length. Even though all measurements here are made using point contacts, and no spin-sensitive Pt strips are present, the signal has similarities to the spin-Seebeck signal. (C) 2013 Elsevier Ltd.
