Abstract
In this article, we proposed a control chart based on the exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) statistic for monitoring count data following a Geometric-Poisson (GP) distribution by adopting a repetitive sampling scheme. The performance of the proposed control chart is assessed in terms of the average run length (ARL) and the standard deviation of run length (SDRL) at various process shifts and various specified parameter values. It has been analyzed that the proposed control chart is more efficient than an existing EWMA chart based on single sampling in terms of ARLs. ? 2017 KIIE.
