Abstract
This thesis presents a two-phase interleaved zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) bidirectional dc/dc converter. The circuit consists of two inductors, four switches, and one ZVS cell which is composed of one inductor and one capacitor. The ZVS cell makes soft switching of all switches and eliminates reverse recovery current problems. To examine the proposed bidirectional dc/dc converter, the converter was tested at an output power range of 100 W ~ 1 kW, while varying the switching frequency 50≤f≤80 kHz. The power conversion efficiencies at 1 kW were measured as 97.11 % at boost mode and 97.40 % at buck mode, which were 4.28 % higher at boost mode and 4.19 % higher at buck mode than the conventional two-phase interleaving bidirectional converter. These experimental results show that the proposed bidirectional dc/dc converter is useful for high efficiency bidirectional power conversion.
