- Abstract
- In these days, dynamic and virtual manufacturing supply chains continue to be increasingly important. Discovery of capable supplier is an issue to form a global supply chain. To realize the semantic matching in a supplier discovery system, several issues need to be researched. One of them is the semantic interpretation problem between buyer’s and supplier’s terms. This paper is aimed to develop a mold manufacturing ontology to discover capable suppliers required to build a global supply chain in semantic web. A use case approach is employed and is designed to perform an experiment on inference of mold manufacturing ontology with an example. This mold manufacturing ontology research establishes a foundation for semantic communication between agents without system standardization effort.
